It's been a CRAZY - BUSY week!

We've had such a busy week - so much going on. Daddy has been working hard on a big big big project for school. Mommy has been trying to keep me entertained while she's had some work to do of her own. So I thought I would just post some more RANDOM pictures that show my quiet, reflective, industrious side.

First, we have this lovely shot of me just relaxing in my crib. It's a nice quiet place to be where I can hang out with my friends (my stuffed animals).

Then, I offer up this picture of me and daddy having my first "campout" on the floor. We were at a friend's wedding reception a couple of weeks ago and got home late. I didn't want to rock in the rocking chair - I voted to have daddy read me a book on the floor - and this is how I fell asleep.

Now I share this picture of me and daddy searching for my cars. Where do you think they went? And more importantly - how do you think they got there? I don't think mommy and daddy bought my story that "the dog did it"!

Finally, a great shot of me and my daddy wrestling this morning after I talked him in to taking a break from his computer work. I have him in a great wrestling move that I like to call the "Body Slam". Pay special attention to the bagel in my hand - it's not every wrestler that can hold a "body slam" while eating!

Child Labor Laws?

Ahhhh spring . . . . I love it as the days get warmer and the snow falls less often! The flowers are starting to grow and the yard work returns as a weekly chore. After an hour or two though I started to think that I was a little young for mandatory labor. I've talked to some of the kids at daycare and they say you get to watch unless you're over 18. I decided to inform daddy of this and he pointed out that I am 22 months already so I'm out of luck. Whaaaaaat this doesn't sound right. Oh well, dad says the yard work will build muscles.

My first job was to haul dirt to the needed areas. Boy a guy could really break a sweat doing this! It's a good thing I'm driving - dad would probably run this into a tree!

My next job was to spread out the dirt dad shovels in. Dad's pretty good at this . . . I wonder if he's had practice?Ohhhhhh forget the rake! It's easier to spread dirt with my hands. Plus it's fun to see dirt inside daddy's glasses. Open wide daddy . . . I hear dirt taste yummy!
Yeeessss, the best part of yard work . . . . telling the chauffer where to go.

You know what they say . . . no work . . . no food!

Adventures in Eating . . .

Just some random photos of me eating. Considering my weight (or lack thereof), you might think that I don't eat very much - but you'd be wrong.

This is me having some breakfast before going to the babysitters. A good breakfast on the go consists of hot cocoa, bagels, bananas, and yogurt! And then, it's important to note that my favorite blankie and teddies are also required for a peaceful breakfast!

Then there's just the grazing as I help mommy cook. I don't think she realizes that the best reason for my wanting to help her cook is that I can eat as we go. Of course, I do like to stir stuff as well . . . .

And then who doesn't love a little breakfast for dinner? Cold cereal sometimes makes the best dinner! Or waffles or pancakes or oatmeal . . . I could go on and on and on! And then you might condsider having some mashed potatoes with your Cheerios . . . they taste best as you lick them off your forearm. Who knew!

Maybe I'll be an Artchitect . . . .

Ok, I'm still a kid - I'm allowed to explore the possibilities! I love blocks, and building things, and knocking things down! My Mega Blocks are soooooo much fun!

Uncle Nolan stopped by the other evening and played blocks with me. We built a huge tower.

It's a good thing Uncle Nolan was there to hold my tower together. Guess I have to learn a little about physics and building a solid foundation. It was even "funner" when it fell over! Okay, so maybe my job future is in demolition! Does anyone have any firecrackers?

Maybe I'll be a Doctor . . . .

If you know my mom, you know that she's in to medical stuff. She says the place to start my medical education is with basic anatomy. I'm learning lots!!! See what you think . . .

BUGS!!!

Boy we sure have had a hard time with bugs this year! Mommy and I got another "bug" this week and daddy had to stay home and take care of us. Ughh - stomach bugs are awful! Anyone know a good exterminator?

So needless to say, we didn't do too many fun things this week. I did get to play on our slide in the sandbox. Daddy says we have to bring in some new sand and this will be one of my favorite places to play.

Also - I'm getting to be quite the horse rider. This is my horse, Dash! I can ride him and play with my "popper toy" all at the same time. Talk about TALENT!!!

Some Bunny Loves Me!

Daddy and mommy have been off from work the last few days and boy have I kept them busy! Remember my chant from last week . . . Park, park, park . . . well it worked again. This time we took daddy and I had lots of fun!

Daddy taught me how to go down the slides on my tummy - super fun!

I think my daddy loves me!

These are my teddy bears - Teddy and Fozzi. They love me too!
I made Easter cookies with mom this week. Then daddy and I colored Easter eggs. Daddy is a "master" egg dipper!
Then this morning, the Easter bunny left me a "basket" full of eggs and fun stuff to play with. I think I got the coolest basket around - it was a big truck to play with in our sand box. I got to meet the Easter bunny this week too - he is a pretty cool guy! I think I like this Easter stuff!

A BIG Week!

My chant this week was "Park, Park, Park, Park"! We had a couple of days with nice, warm, spring-like weather. Mommy took me to a park after work one day and I LOVED it! Guess what my two favorite parts were . . . . Yep - the swings and the slides!

I can do the slide all by myself! We're taking Daddy to the park later this week if the snow melts and the weather turns warm again. I can't wait!

I also learned how to play pool (billiards) for the first time this week. My cousin Cameron got married this week and we had lots of fun with the family visiting and enjoying the wedding festivities. By the way, I'll bet you never knew you could play pool without a stick... I can!

And then the biggest thing of all this week... Daddy won an award at work. He is one of the best teachers in his school district! We got to go to an assembly just for him. I think all of the kids at his school like him almost as much as I do!

Random Pictures

I thought I would post some random photos from the last week.

The title of this picture is "Mr. M" - if only these necklaces were gold! Mr. T would be jealous!
This is me and my daddy working together. He gets sooooo much more work accomplished when I help!

This is me just hanging out waiting for the parents to finish their morning routines so we can get going for the day.

Finally, this is me just hanging out watching one of my favorite Baby Einstein videos - very educational! Note the spread I asked for - easy access during a video - remember a 20 month old's short attention span!

What a Difference . . . .

What a difference a warm week makes! Look at these two pictures and tell me what you notice . . . . hum - could it be the snow (or the lack of snow)?

The first picture was taken a week ago and this picture was taken this afternoon. Of course in all honesty, I should make it clear that it is snowing outside right now as I type this! So the warm weather didn't last for long - - - but it was enough to give us all spring fever!

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to my most favorite fruit of all time - - - BLUEBERRIES!!! Gotta love those little juicy blue bits of yumminess!

Unfortunate Events Down Under . . .

I had to have surgery this week - modern medicine . . . I'm not sure I'm a big fan! Thank goodness for drugs and anesthesia! This is me right after the medicine to make me sleepy and right before they made mommy and daddy stay in the waiting room without me.
Actually I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the anesthesia after all. It was good during the surgery, but was super hard to get out of my system afterwards! This is me after my first round of throwing up, trying to sleep some of the drugs off. I didn't even think my glowing toe was cool - that's how bad I felt!
This is me after my next round of throwing up. I just couldn't keep anything down. Thank goodness the nurses and doctors were super nice and patient with me - we were at the hospital alllllll day long!

Finally they let me go home anyway, after giving me lots of IV fluids and some strong nausea medicine. Once I got home, I felt a whole lot better. Nothing like being at home! Maybe that says something about hospital juice!
This is me the day after surgery. I felt pretty good - good enough to help daddy shovel some of the snow drifts around the side of the house.
This is me the evening after shoveling - mommy says I need to take it easy. I was fine until Sunday. They say the 2nd day after is the worst - I think they might be right about that one. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow!

Catching Up . . .

Ok - so I miss a week of posting to my blog and now I have so much to catch up on! Get ready!

First of all - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to daddy! I helped make his birthday cake. I'm getting to be quite the good cook.

Of course, I'm learning that the BEST part of cooking is licking the beaters! Yum!

We have pizza about once a year in our house. This is me eating pizza - I think I like it!

Snow, snow and more snow! This is me and daddy just hanging out watching the snow out the front door. I'm not sure spring will ever come.

This is me out playing in the snow. Daddy just finished cleaning the driveway of all the snow - - - Don't ask me how all this snow got back on our driveway? I wouldn't have a clue! (Don't show him the pile up by the front door I made - Oopps! Ha, Ha, Ha)

Mommy had to go on another trip for work last week so my Aunt Jennifer came to stay with us and play with me. She is sooooo much fun. I learned lots from her - she said not to tell my parents!

This is my new "popper" toy. It makes lots and lots of noise when I run through the house with it! Aunt Jen left this for me to play with and torture my parents. It works perfectly!

Last but not least - I have taken up shaving. Something about whiskers and fuzzy faces? I think maybe my teddy bear needs this more than I do!
