While the cat's away . . . .
Mommy was gone on a trip to sunny Orlando for part of this week and left "the boys" with the camera. Fortunately, only a few pictures got taken of what the place looks like when mommy isn't here to make us clean up after ourselves! We had a great time - - thanks daddy for taking good care of us!
Samuel and I have really learned to play together pretty well (most of the time). This is a picture of me entertaining him through the safety gate at the stairs. If you look closely you can see someone else's fingers poking through at the bottom of the gate . . . . hum! This is a picture of Sam and me playing in our fort under the kitchen table. We love playing in and under things that make it feel like we're hiding! We're getting some great spring snow storms. Little boys HAVE TO play in the snow every time we get a chance - even without their snow boots on!
Sam Alert: Hey there everyone. I've got yet another cold. These little bodies sure are weird things - - running noses, coughing up all kinds of stuff, fevers . . . I sure am ready for warmer weather! Hope everyone out there is well and happy!

Spring . . . .

Ahhh - spring. It conjures up thoughts of warm weather, flying kites, playing outside and . . . spring cleaning? Yes - well now that mom and dad have Sam and me around, it seems like we have to do all the hard labor around the house while they nap! See for yourselves . . . Me - mopping the kitchen!

Sam - being forced to take a message. He's not a secretary! He can't even TALK yet! Me - laundry! At least there were bubbles to play with!
Me - doing the dishes! Daddy did finally help.
We did do a cool science experiment recently - Grandpa and Grandma G. gave me this hermit crab that grew when we put him in water. Before . . . . And after . . . . If only he were real!I finally had to find my inner superhero and stop the madness!

Sam Alert: Really - - - it's just some hummus we had for lunch.

More Good Times!

We had another great week. We definately have spring fever! Spring snow storms are great because the snow doesn't stick around too long - long enough to make some "Mason Tracks" and then it disappears. I did ask to go sledding this week, but we definately didn't have enough snow to get my sled out.
People always ask if Sam and I get along well. Most days the answer is Yes. Here I am helping to feed Sam. It got warm enough this week to get out and do some yard clean up. I also got my four wheeler out and rode around the yard. Note the spade (I call it a scoop) in my hand - a little yard work, a little play time.Daddy and I built this really cool tower. It was soooooo hard not to knock it down as he was building it.Then Saturday afternoon, daddy and mommy took Samuel and me to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. It was a beautiful day, but just a tad breezy. We had a GREAT time! Grandpa and Grandma L. came and met us there. We made the rounds twice - we saw horses . . . and more horses . . . .and pretended we were in the jail . . .and fed the goats . . .and saw more goats . . .and danced with Grandpa in the dance hall . . .and fed the goats again . . .and again . . . (the goats are mommy's favorite part!) and went for pony rides . . .
Yee Haw!Sam laughed the whole time he was riding! And then I crashed after we got home . . . ahhh nap time!

Sam Alert: Some new things for me this week - a new "bowl-plate" that I get to feed myself out of. I now officially refuse to eat unless I can feed myself. I truly hate being a baby! And this is just a darn cute picture of me! Pirate Sam! Arghhhh!

GOOD TIMES!
So - this was a great week packed with fun activities and fun people!
First Uncle Noley and Aunt Chris suprised us with a visit one night. We played and played and we were sad when they had to leave. This is a picture of us waiting at the door for them to arrive. We knew someone was coming - we just didn't know who - boy were we happy!
Then Grandpa and Grandma G. came to stay with us for a few days. More fun times!!! This is Grandma playing with Samuel.
And this is Grandpa playing the ABSeas game with me. We caught lots of fish/letters. Grandpa looks worried because I'm winning! And here is Grandma G. reading to me before bedtime. It's always good to have a new voice reading my favorite stories. Then on Saturday afternoon, my good friend Easton came to stay with his Grandma and Grandpa who live across the street from us. So Sam and I got to take him to the Kangaroo Zoo and play and bounce and run and climb and slide. It was super fun!!! This is Easton and me playing with the tube. I love having friends to play with!
More fun bouncing. This really was a cool place - I asked to go back all weekend!
Here is Uncle Randy and daddy with Sam. Sam was a little too little to be able to jump like we did. But he still seemed to enjoy himself.
Here I am climbing up one of the slides.
And here I am going down the tallest slide in the place - which I did at least four or five times. It was GREAT (and a little nerve wracking for my parents the first time)!!!And here is Baby Sam enjoying his little bits of bouncing!Sam Alert: Hi there - It really was a great week getting to visit with our friends and family.
I have an idea for a new kind of bottle - one that you can drink without having to turn upside down. It's so hard to get a good drink this way!

A Taste of Spring!

Our weather finally turned warmer - at least for a couple of days. It was so nice to be able to be outside and stretch our legs. We went for some long walks a couple of days and just enjoyed being outside. Copper enjoyed it as much as we did!I spent some time shoveling what was left of our snow. It was more like ice - - and not nearly as tasty as new fallen snow!I helped daddy do some repairs around the house and then we took apart an old radio/cd player that his students broke. I'm getting to be pretty handy with a screw driver!Ahhhh - sunshine . . . a guy's gotta look cool! Have I accomplished "cool"?Brothers . . . . .

Sam Alert: Hi everyone. I'm feeling better this week and really moving with the "Sam Comando Crawl"! Nothing is safe anymore!
