Well somehow all of Fall 2017 has gotten away from us. Here are some highlights.
School started way back at the end of August. We long for days of wearing shorts to school!
I am in 6th grade - can you believe it!
Sam is in 4th grade.
We spent a nice, long Labor Day weekend up in Wyoming. We fished (no luck at all - it was way too warm and in the middle of the day). We hiked, we relaxed! All signs of a good time!
We played Fall sports. Sam ran Cross Country. He's running 3Ks now. That's nearly 2 miles for those of you keeping track.
And I played it what will probably be my last season of football. So - Much - Fun!
We had our annual Pumpkin Patch day with Grandma L, Uncle Noley & Aunt Christy, and our cousins.
There was more Cross Country . . . . .
. . . . . and more Football.
And then it was over. Dad was my coach again this season.
We spent Fall break up in Wyoming. It was a little chillier than usual. In fact, we got some good snow one morning.
There was a big snowball fight and some crashing of bodies into the soft, untouched snow.
We saw lots of animals this year - everything but bear.
There was the usual creek-jumping events. And then there was the usual mud covered boys trying to get in to Mom's car.
There's a great story behind this picture - let's just say that the self-timer on Mom's camera is 10 seconds - usually that's long enough for her to run and get into the picture. Not this time . . . . Dad came through for us.
Our favorite wooden bear.
Then it was Halloween. We carved pumpkins.
And we went Trick-or-Treating. I was Fred Flintstone and Sam was a Doctor.
There were lots of afternoons spent doing yard work.
And now, somehow, Thanksgiving is over and we're on to Christmas. More to come in a few weeks.
