It seems like it was just Valentine's Day - how did it get to be Thanksgiving already? And actually Thanksgiving has come and gone now that we're blogging about it. And we have NO pictures to prove it. We went over to Uncle Noley's and Aunt Christy's for dinner but Grandpa L ended up getting sick so it was a short, but super yummy dinner. But before we had Thanksgiving, let us tell you about our trip to the North Pole.
Mom and dad surprised us on Tuesday night with a trip on the North Pole Express out of Heber City. It is one of our favorite things to do this time of year. The weather was perfect - not too cold and not too snowy (it is a long drive up and over the mountains). Here we are with our elves - Spice and Sparkle.
And here is a family picture on the train.
There's nothing like a visit with Mrs. Claus. She told us to be good and to make our beds every morning. We promised that we would and we have faithfully kept that promise every morning since the train ride!
And we each got to visit with Santa of course. Sam told Santa that he hasn't decided what he wants for Christmas yet, but that he would get back to him. Santa said no problem!
And here I am chatting with Santa. We each got a bell from Rudolph's harness this year.
Here we are wrestling with daddy - we sure are glad that his back is getting better!
And here is a picture of me pretending to be a butterfly. I'm coming out of my cocoon.
We got to have a sleepover at Uncle Noley's this weekend. We love doing that - we get to eat whatever we want, stay up as late as we want, and play super hard. Here we are eating and singing with Uncle Noley.
And here we are having a big pillow fight.
This is us pretending to be kings. Handsome and serious kings at that!
And here we are having a ball battle. We throw balls down the stairs . . . . .
. . . . . and try to hit the stuffed animals hanging from the stair banister. This is great fun!!!
We did some more yard work on Saturday afternoon - really, we're nearly done for the fall. But playing in the leaf piles never gets old!
We needed to clean the leaves off the front lawn so that we could put up this - this is a super great Christmas inflatable that one of our neighbors used to put out every year. They decided they didn't want to use it anymore so they gave it to us. Daddy got it all put up and running. We LOVE it! It plays music and does a light show - so so so cool!
Here I am dancing to the music with Pinky the elf. (I named the other elf Stinky.)
And here's Sam climbing a tree. It was a beautiful day - and surprisingly warm for late November.
Last but not least, here is a picture of me climbing the trees.
Sam Alert: Hey everyone - it's just me hanging in the trees.
And here I am riding my rake - I'm too cool to ride a broom.
And finally - here is a picture of me being silly. I'm eating and singing and laughing and just all around enjoying myself. That's what I'm all about!
Sam Out - best wishes for a wonderful week!
