HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

I can't believe it . . . one year old. I'm growing up fast! I had a great birthday - lots of presents, a cupcake (I liked the frosting, but I'm not too fond of the cake - yet), and a birthday hat! Funny - I don't feel older, but the doctor said I was when I went in for my shots today.

Oh - no gray hairs yet, but boy you should see mom and dad's gray hairs! Shhhh, mom colors hers so you can't see them - don't tell! They blame their gray hair all on me, but I'm pretty sure they're from Copper!

Around the House . . . .

Just a couple of super cute pictures of me hanging out around the house.

First - I discovered flowers the other night. Mommy's marigolds will never be the same - yum - the red petals taste the best!

Second - nothing like putting glacier water in the pool! I think my diaper has ice in it. My parents need to upgrade and get me a heated pool before I'll dip a toe back in - or better yet, let's get a hot tub!

Work, work, work . . . .

Now that I'm mobile, my parents have put me to work.

Laundry! (Come on - who's dirty underwear are these - and don't tell me they're Copper's!)

Dusting! (Can't anyone see this?)
Dishes! (I don't even get to eat off of these!)


Aren't there child-labor laws or something? Copper and I are running away - as soon as one of us figures out how to open the darn door!

My first Memorial Day and my first ride on the Hammock! Mom says it's not supposed to bounce, but when the dog jumps on, ooh wee do we fly!

So mommy and daddy have been wondering why Copper's diet isn't working anymore . . . I wouldn't know ANYTHING about that!!!

I LOVE being mobile - - - I can just crawl right over to my toy box and pick out what I want to play with - - - and then I can throw it all over mommy's nice clean living room! It's a good thing mommy's mobile! (At least most of the time . . . he he he.)

FOOTBALL . . . Need I say more! Mommy and Daddy took me to my first football game last night. There was so much to see . . . and hear! We had great seats thanks to mommy's friends, Linda and Mark.
Guess what . . . the Utah Blaze's mascot is a dalmation named Chief. He looks almost exactly like my dog, Copper!


Even at a football game, a guy's gotta eat! No popcorn and nachos for me. I drink the hard stuff!

They call this thing I sleep in a crib . . . it feels like JAIL to me! (Mommy and daddy hope this isn't a sign of things to come!)

So . . . we were supposed to go to the zoo ages ago and we still haven't gone. I decided to adopt this cute little "kitty" that wandered by. It's soft and cuddly and doesn't run too fast. Sometimes it smells a little bit though! (But Dad says not as stinky as me!)

Note the long hair . . . . Mom cut it today. My very first hair cut! She tried cutting it a week or so ago. She got the scissors up to my hair but couldn't do it. I guess she got brave today. Below is my "after" photo! I think I look even more grown up with a cool haircut!

This moving yourself around is not all it's cracked up to be! Nose dives are my best move! A little rug burn on the old face is all in a day's work. . . But it sure makes my parents laugh!


Going downstairs is hard on the nose . . . going upstairs (with my toys) is fun, fun, fun!!!
I always post pictures of me and daddy - I thought it was time to put one up of me and mommy. You can take the kids out of California, but you can't take the California out of the kids!

Happy warm weekend!

It's that "yard work" time of year - or at least that's all my parents keep talking about. This is my idea of yard work! Swinging in the trees with my hair blown by a nice, soft breeze. Ahhhh, spring!

Oh, by the way - I've got a new sleeping position that I suggest you all try . . . I call it the "Pill Bug". In case you can't tell from the picture, it's head down, bum up (way up!). Quite comfy if I do say so myself!!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub . . . I'm in the tub! Who knew water could be soooo much fun! I LOVE a nice long bath - no bubbles required (I bring my own!)





I'm sure there was a quarter under here! Why are my parents just sitting there laughing at me?

FINE - so there wasn't a quarter. QUIT LAUGHING AND GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!

I had another BIG adventure last week with my mommy and daddy and my Grandpa and Grandma L. When we go camping, we really rough it! I didn't get to bring my "teddy bear" so they took me to see some real bears in West Yellowstone. I don't think they are as cuddly as mine! Plus, I know mommy couldn't tell, but those bears needed a bath - they were stinky!

Top O' the morning to ya - was this Easter or St. Patty's Day? I got eggs, but daddy made me wear a green hat (a plastic bowl). The bowl was actually my favorite toy for a few days. Simple things . . . .

It's Spring!!!

Barefoot in the grass . . . . it feels sooooo odd! Who knew that grass could be so pokey and yet feel so good in my toes!

What a fun weekend! Grandma and Grandpa G came to visit. They are great entertainment! We played and made noises. I had a great time!
Mommy caught me sleeping the other afternoon. It's a hard life but somebody has to live it!

I hope that I grow up to be tall!

This is a picture of me with my head in a lion's mouth . . . . okay, not really, but it was supposed to be! It was such a nice, sunny, warm Saturday that we decided to take my first trip to the zoo.
But when mommy drove us up there, we couldn't even find a place to park, and the line to get in was really, really long. So we came home instead. I guess everyone had the same idea we did. Maybe the next warm, sunny day we'll try the zoo again.

We went out visiting in our neighborhood and I got to climb my first tree in Aunt Cindy's yard. The tree felt really neat - daddy called it "bark", but isn't that what Copper does? Wierd stuff!

Dad and I love to wrestle! But dog-gone-it . . . it's no fair using the dog to win!

It feels like nap time! He's a load to wrestle!

This was my big night out! I got to go to dinner with some of my neighbors - Aunt Cindy & Uncle Sandy, and Aunt Lu & Uncle Randy. Uncle Randy is teaching me how to do Monkey Faces. The waiters and waitresses kept me entertained! It was fun!

I LOVE it when daddy comes home . . .

but I'm sure getting tired of all this traffic!

Mason and Mommy's BIG Adventure

I love weekends! Mommy and I had a big adventure last weekend. We took a "road trip" to St. George and met up with my Grandma G and Auntie Jen. Mommy had meetings there so I got to spend some time with my Grandma and Auntie. It was a snowy drive down on Friday morning, but I slept nearly the whole drive! I played lots and Aunt Jennifer was a good bouncer! (To me that means she bounced me on her knee lots!) Grandma and Jennifer taught me lots of fun things too, like spitting my food out and how to "meow" and "oink" Old MacDonald Had A Farm (that's an inside joke). They even let me try Lobster and Prime Rib! I'll post that picture when Aunt Jennifer sends it.

We had lots of fun. We even took a drive up to Snow Canyon State Park and took these pictures. Finally we had to come home on Monday. Mommy says that I was a great travel buddy! I sure missed Daddy though - he got to stay home and be a "bachelor" all weekend (what ever that means?) I missed Copper too! Mommy always says it's fun to go on trips but she always looks forward to coming home - I think I understand what she means now!

It's finally a long weekend! It was warm and beautiful yesterday so we took Copper to the dog park . . . so many doggies in one place! That was fun! Then daddy and mommy took me out for dinner and I got to sit in my very own chair at the restaurant. Mommy keeps saying "Don't grow up so fast", but I am!

I'm finally done being sick - I think!

Will someone PLEASE feed me!!!!!

Howdy! Everyone in our house has been sick for the past few days. I've been doing my part to take care of daddy and mommy - Chicken Noodle Soup. They say it cures everything! We'll see about that!
