Well the summer sure is flying by fast! It is already July and weAnd haven't finished wrapping up June.
We spent a weekend up at Uncle Noley's cabin and had lots of fun.
We went for a hike with dad . . . .
. . . . and found two moose
We built a fire - checking off a cub scout requirement while we were at it.
Here's Sam starting his fire.
We cooked dinner over the fires - the best meals are simple, fire cooked food!
Here we are hanging with Uncle Noley.
Then a long came my birthday. I'm double digits now - 10 years old!
I got some great presents - a stuffed animal from Sam, some toys, a sleeping bag, and a Utah State University t-shirt from dad and mom.
And since my actual birthday was the day before we were leaving town on vacation, dad made me a birthday rootbeer with a candle to blow out. Then we went out for ice cream.
After we came home from vacation, we had my real birthday cake with real candles and everything.
Then the 4th of July came along and we spent the day at our neighborhood party. There was quite the fireworks show in the circle.
And Sam and I lit some sparklers and shared some with our friends.
Our water slide finally made it out of its bucket in the shed and we've been having lots of fun staying cool and getting wet.
Ok - vacation pictures coming up next.
