We're back this week with lots and lots of pictures. Mom was out of town again and you know that means there are no pictures to prove what happened while she was away. Since she's been back, there's been a lot going on. Get ready - here we go.
First up - we got to go to a brand new museum that is just now opening in our area - the Museum of Natural Curiosity. We were lucky enough to get to go on a preview night before all the big crowds. It was really really fun and we can't wait to go back again!
In the rain forest there are all kinds of fun things to do - here Sam is being a sloth. He held on for 222 seconds. That was way way longer than any one else around.
Here are all the boys inside hurricane force winds - up to 90 miles per hour. Sam's lucky he didn't blow away.
We did a little building and made ourselves a fort.
Here is Sam - Behold the Floating Head!
We also got to play outside too - here I am on the zip line.
And here we both are on the slides.
Last Saturday we got to go to friend's wedding. It was up in the canyon at a beautiful restaurant - with everything outdoors. The only problem was that it was a freezing cold, dreary, rainy day. We were super cold - but it WAS beautiful! Thank goodness for all the warm patio heaters that kept us warm (mostly).
Beautiful settings make for good family pictures.
And then there was Mother's Day. We took some flowers up to Grandma June's grave with daddy.
Finally the week of our spring programs at school was here. First up was Sam's program. We've included a couple of videos for your enjoyment.
First up - for Aunt Jen Jen - Fifty Nifty United States.
And then we have Happy Trails.
We also get to share our Young Author projects after the program.
Sam's book was called "The Big Race" and it was about two cheetahs (named Bacon and Avocado) that had a race and became friends.
We also get to share our Art Fair projects. Sam's was the sand art (blue skies, sand, and shells) that you can see him pointing to.
Then my program was next. Here we are singing My Old Kentucky Home.
This song is called Grandfather's Clock.
And my last song is I Believe in Music.
My book is called "The Mysterious Gold Stealer" and it is about a family of Leprechauns.
And my art project is the really cool spiral art above my head.
Sam Alert: Hey everyone - Sam here. Check out this cool bell that was beside the patio at our friend's wedding location. It had the softest, coolest gong sound.
And I finally got to celebrate my birthday at school this week with the Sam Spotlight. All my friends sang to me and I got to blow out 6 "candles". See those candles/friends lying on the ground.
Sam out - have a great week!
