Summer is Winding Down

Summer is truly winding down and we're a little bit sad about that!  It has been a GREAT summer - we have had so much fun.  The last two weeks have been a whirlwind.  Lots is happening as we finish the summer strong.

 

First up - we've had some one-on-one time with mom as she has taken off some days to watch us after daddy had to go back to work.  One of the things we love about hanging with mom are the art projects.  Here we are working on a painting - you can see the finished project below. 

 

Dinosaurs - so much fun to paint!

 

We've been to see a couple of big screen movies lately - Turbo.  Loved it!!!

 

And Planes.  Planes was very reminiscent of the story line from Cars, but we'll take it. 

 

Swimming lessons continue on.  We've had a different teacher every month, but we sure do love our current one.  She's gotten us out there learning some strokes and we're loving it.  (Sorry for the crooked picture - blogger is not cooperating today.)

Then mom had to leave us for a work trip so Aunt Jen Jen was able to come up and hang out with us for a few days.  She spoiled us!  ROTTEN!  We did so many fun things while she was here.  Playing at the park.  Lunch with friends.  Miniature golfing.

 

A trip to Thanksgiving Point.

 

Yes - we're in jail mom and dad.  What do you expect when we hang out with Aunt J?

 

 Well Aunt Jen Jen had to go home and mom came back the same night.  So in honor of her trip to Philadelphia, we did an art project about the Liberty Bell.

We got to see Tarzan at our local theater. Sam was not at all happy that the big male gorilla was killed in the end. 

 

Here we are just before curtain time. 

 

One more week until school starts - we've been working to get ready for that too. 

 

Sam Alert:  Hey everyone.  One of my many nicknames is the chocolate monster.  Aunt Jen Jen gave me that name and she always manages to supply me with chocolate when we're together.  Look at the pure bliss that chocolate brings me!
