Space and the Great Outdoors

Our week started with a surprise package from Uncle Carl and Aunt Fran.  Inside we found these super cool costumes - a fighter pilot and an astronaut.  Excellent dress up and playtime attire!

We had some great days this week being outdoors.  We've had beautiful weather and we just can't get enough of being outside.  Even during iPad time, the outdoors is a wonderful place to be.

We did some bike riding and even accompanied our neighbor on her nightly walk.

I had a great soccer game on Saturday morning.  I played hard and am sure improving my skills this year.

After soccer and a couple of friend birthday parties, we met back up with everyone at our favorite pumpkin patch.  This has become our fall tradition and we LOVE it!

Grandma and Grandpa L., cousins Grace and Lucas, and Uncle Noley and Aunt Christy love our pumpkin patch too.  Here we are hunting pumpkins and working in teams to haul our prizes back to the wagons.

And here are the cousins debating the virtues of each and every pumpkin in the patch.

We all ended up with some beauties this year.  Can't wait for carving day!

After pumpkin hunting we end up over in the yard to take some pictures.  Here's me and Sam.

And here we are with dad and mom.

And here's the whole group of us.

After pictures we hopped on for a hay ride around the farm.  It was a perfect afternoon!

Today we decided to spend the afternoon at the cabin.  It is almost ready for occupancy again after many months of construction.  We took a great hike.

Here is "Moose Mason".

Most of the bright leaves were gone but we did happen upon a few amazingly colorful patches.

Here's Sam identifying some animal tracks.

And here we are headed back down the mountain.  I made sure that Grandma made it back down safe and sound.

It was truly a beautiful day!

And here we all are sitting in the sun enjoying our warm, yummy lunch.

Sam Alert:  Hey everyone - Sam here.  Enjoy a few pictures from me of my week.  First up - me and the pumpkin.  This didn't end up being my "take-home" pumpkin but look at the color and shape of this beauty.  It is hard to find just the perfect pumpkin!

Here I am on the seat of the farm equipment (don't ask me the name of it - I can't remember).

And check out this action shot of me jumping down off the hay bales.  I'm always climbing or jumping or running or falling.  Good times!

Our hike today was incredible.  We saw some deer running through the trees and made lots of noise to scare away the rest of the animals.

And finally - a picture of me and Mas - look at those amazing red leaves.  Ah fall - we're glad to see you.

 Sam out!
