Winter into Spring 2017

A long lost hello to any of our faithful readers still out there.  Mom has not been helpful at assisting us in keeping the blog up to date.  But we're going to attempt to play more catch up and show you some of our top highlights from the last few months.

First up was dad's birthday.  He's like 106 or something now!

We had a few warm days to play outside during winter - scooters are fun any time of year!

We kept up with horse lessons even through the winter. Who says you can't ride a horse in a snowstorm!

We had lots of fun just playing around the house.

Science fair projects were finished and presented.

Here's Sam teaching some of the younger kids about his project.

And my project was about geodes this year.  I had a lot of fun doing it.

I won an award for Excellence in Math - I placed in the top percentage of all students across the nation taking the AMC 8 Math test.  I got to go to a recognition ceremony at BYU one very cold winter evening.  It was fun.

And I met up with one of my best friends there - Daniel.  He is at a different campus this year so I don't get to see him often.

Here are the boys - all dressed up and looking amazing.

Sam and I both made it in the Speech Festival finals.

And we finally made it to spring break 2017.  We decided to go against the trend of going somewhere sunny and warm - so we decided on a week in Jackson Wyoming - our favorite place on earth.

As always we stopped at the cemeteries to visit graves and Sam and I got drive.  My legs are long enough to do the pedals too.

There was still plenty of snow in the Tetons but the days were pleasant.

Snake River Overlook.

Oxbow Bend.

We played football in the backyard of our condo.  We were literally the only ones there for most of the week.

We hiked, we saw tons of animals, we had lots and lots and lots of snowball fights.  It was a super great spring break!

Then came Easter.  We had our traditional Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma L's with all our Corser cousins.  We LOVE this event!

Of course, we all played a great game of football after the egg hunt and lunch.

Grandma L is a great hostess!

We dyed eggs with daddy.

And then it was Easter morning.  The Easter Bunny was good to us - as always.

Here we are with mom after church on Easter Sunday.

Our new cat has made herself at home - and we love her.  She loves to start her night sleeping with Sam.  Can you find here in all the stuffed animals?

I have started football season again.  I'm having fun and dad is my coach again - so it will be a great spring!

And finally - I was selected to be in my school's regional Honors Chorale.  We practiced for weeks and weeks and had performances just last week.  We were amazing.  As soon as we have some time, we'll upload a few videos for you all to watch.  And yes - I got a new suit for the occasions - don't I look handsome!

OK - we promise not to wait so long before we blog again.  Please keep checking back - we are out here and having lots of fun.  More to come!

Christmas & New Years

Ah Christmas - it was a great one!
We prepared by sprinkling out some Magic Reindeer food - it really helps to guide Santa's sleigh to our house.

We put out cookies and eggnog for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

We got our Christmas pajamas and headed for bed.

And after finally dragging the parents out of bed, we headed downstairs on Christmas morning to see what was in store for us.  Santa was good to us, as always.

Santa surprised Sam with a stuffed elf - he named him "Melf".

Santa got us everything we were hoping for - and more!

Sam had been asking for a new cat - and so we all went to the local humane society a few days before Christmas and picked out the cutest little cat - her name is Angel.  We love her!

So many fun presents!  Thanks to everyone for the great gifts!

Sam and I got to have a double-sleepover at Uncle Noley's.  Lots of fun was had there too - but what happens at Uncle Noley's, stays at Uncle Noley's.  Here is one picture that we texted out - rubber band guns.  Ahhh - so much fun!

And then it was New Year's Eve.  We went out to dinner and then made our traditional toasts for a great New Year.  Welcome to 2017!

Pre-Christmas Events

December held a lot of fun events leading up to Christmas.  We started with our Christmas programs at school.  Sam's was up first:

Sam showed his mad umbrella spinning skills in "Raindrops Keep Fallin'".

Here is "Jingle all the Way".

And here is the perennial favorite song "Hot Cup of Cocoa".

And here he is with his teacher - Mrs. Abbott.

For my program, I'm sharing "Sleigh Ride".

And "The First Noel/Pachelbel's Canon" - Mom's personal favorite!

My teacher, Mrs. Johnson is fabulous!

And here I am with my best friend, Ben.

In other events, we went to a play - The Diary of a Worm, a Spider, and a Fly.  It was fun!

Mom took us to Temple Square - it was pretty, even though we were there during the day without all the lights on.

We wrote and mailed letters to Santa Claus.  He is always so nice to write us back during this busy time of the year!

We got a Christmas tree and decorated the house.

We had a great snowball fight.

And then came Christmas and New Years - - - next post.

Sam Alert:  Hey everyone - Sam here.
I think this picture speaks for itself.  That's one handsome boy right there, if I do say so myself!

Ok - Sam out!
