LIONS and TIGERS and . . . .
TULIPS??? . . . . OH MY!!!
What a great week! Aunt Jen Jen stayed with us until Tuesday so on Monday night we all went down to Thanksgiving Point to the Tulip Festival. Who knew that flowers could be so pretty! We had a great time walking through the gardens and exploring the Children's Garden.
There were a couple of really big hills that I rolled down. That'll make a guy dizzy!
We took some family pictures among the flowers. It would have helped if we were all looking forward, but it still works. Of course it should be noted that the two little people not looking up didn't have their sunglasses on! Mom always says if we look directly at the sun we'll go blind and we're good listeners!
Finally we all got to be tulips. It was a great night! Then, after a busy work week, mommy took Friday off and we went to the zoo with our friends Linda and Eliza.
We had to take the traditional "Head In the Lion's Mouth" pictures. This was Sam's first time at the zoo.
We rode the carousel - in the peacock! We saw lots of cool animals and had a great day.
Thanks Linda and Eliza for going to the zoo with us! Let's go again soon!
Of course the day wouldn't have been complete without a train ride! You know how we LOVE trains!
Sam Alert: Hi everyone. Time is flying by and I'm enjoying every minute. Zoos and flowers and just being Sam. I'm getting to be a very strong stander-upper. There's lots to see and I don't want to do it from ground level much longer! Have a great week everyone - Mommy says something really big is happening this week? Hum - wonder what that will be?

A Wickedly Great Week!
Ahhh spring - every day is different in the spring and that makes things fun. We had a great week . . . some sun and warm weather along with some rain. We always try to get outside when it is warm enough. There's always yard work to do.
And of course a walk to the neighborhood park to play on the playground. I LOVE slides . . . straight wavy ones . . . .
and long spiral ones!
And even side by side slides - Sam loves to slide too!
Our Aunt Jen Jen came to visit us this weekend. She makes us laugh!

Mommy and Aunt Jen Jen sneaked away for a little while this weekend to see "Wicked". They loved it. I think we need to learn how to be a little more wicked . . . . hum?
Sam Alert: Hey everyone - I'm not ready to walk yet, but I'm getting around pretty darn good. The stairs are a BIG challenge that I'm starting to work on. But there sure are a lot of them!
I LOVE playing on the slides. It makes my tummy woosh up in to my throat!

Is "Vacation" a Place?
We finally got a chance to take a family vacation - - I thought vacation was a place, but I was told that the place was Island Park and that vacation was the time we spent together. Huh? Anyway - it was fun!
Island Park was definately snowy and cold this year. Dad made me stand on this pile of snow - and it wasn't even the biggest one!
Here are some of the fun activities we did - swimming (of course!), an Easter Egg hunt (apparently the Easter bunny came to Island Park a week later than he came to our house - and he must be able to ride a snowmobile!), and playing together in the condo.
Nobody at daycare believed that I high-fived a Grizzly Bear! Here is the real, untouched photo!
Here are some pictures from the West Yellowstone Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center. The Polar Bear is my favorite (I'm roaring while daddy took the picture). We found a Vol near our condo - the bottom right corner. He was cool - but much, much smaller than a Grizzly! This is a picture of me and daddy wrestling! I'm the cute one!
Let me out of here! Honest, I'm not a real bear! Who leaves a perfectly good sandwich inside a bear trap anyway?
Now this is a BEAR!
I tried to play outside, but my legs weren't long enough! Not even mommy could hike to the playground!
When will it stop snowing? (It took 4 people from the resort to dig out the car as well as a path from the condo to the car so we could leave.)
This is what daddy had to do when we got home. We went from huge snowbanks and a 3 day snow storm to mowing our lawn in the sunshine! CRAZY! And yes, daddy is so old that I have to help push him along! Ohh - I hope he didn't eat beans for dinner last night!
Sam Alert: It was a great vacation - Just nice to be away with the family (except for the never ending teething process!) This is a picture of me feeling a real bear skin. It wasn't as soft as I thought it would be. Daddy bought me my own "Little Griz" to bring home - he's my new best friend! Now I have my own teddy bear like Mason.
This is me swinging in the backyard. It's nice to be back in the warm weather and sunshine. But the phone sure rings alot here - can we take the phone and bury it back in the snow in Island Park?

A Snowy Easter ! ? ! ?
What a great week! We had some great nights playing this week. We pulled out the big truck and both Samuel and I got to go for rides around the house in it. I turned out to be a pretty good driver too! I've started my modeling career - this is my picture for America's Next Top Model. What do you think - - - will I win?
We had a few jobs to do around the house - - How many boys does it take to work on the sink?
Answer: 3!
We woke up to a nice spring snow storm on Saturday morning - and of course you can guess - - we had to go out and play in the snow. It was enough (barely) to do some serious sledding in the front yard. Sam loved it too!
Both mommy and daddy pulled us around. It was sooooo much fun! Copper got in some good running too. Here we are - as usual, Sam laughed the whole time. Mommy and her Sam!
And here is a picture of me and daddy. I tried pulling him on the sled - - talk about a big load! And of course, no day playing in the snow is complete without a snowball fight. Most of our snow had melted by this time, but it sure was fun!
Ever wondered how to make little boys tired . . . an afternoon of playing in the snow. Sleep isn't always comfortable - sometimes it's just sleep! Then since it was Easter weekend (at least at our house) we spent Saturday night coloring easter eggs. We almost mistook Sam for an egg. Lucky him - he almost got some blue hair! Then that sneaky Easter Bunny dropped by over night and left us our Easter baskets full of treats! What a nice bunny! Sam's first Easter! The Easter bunny even hid some eggs filled with treats for us to find. Since it was still cold outside, we had our egg hunt in the house. Tricky bunny! We did find all of the eggs . . . we think! Our family Easter portrait!
Happy Easter everyone - even if we are a week early!Sam Alert: Hi from me - mommy finally captured me in my most favorite sleeping position. It's NOT a good night if I'm not in my ten-point stance.
We call it "the Pill Bug".
Try it sometime!
