Bullhead City, AZ Vacation

We just got home from spending six days with our Uncle Carl and Aunt Francine at their home in Bullhead City, AZ.  It was a total blast.  We are already asking when we can go back again.  Their home is right on the Colorado River, just downstream from Lake Mohave.  Unky has all the water toys that boys could possibly want and we played super hard the whole time.

WARNING - this post is video heavy so don't watch the videos if you aren't interested.

First we hopped a plane to Las Vegas and grabbed a car for the short drive to their house.

Then we hopped on the boat and spent every day either on the river or Lake Mohave.

On the days we went to the lake, we would head out and find our own private little beach and play in the water for hours on end.

Unky would pull us on the inflatable behind the boat.  Now that was fun!

Here is a video of dad and us boys on the inflatable.

Sam would always come off the inflatable with some super cool hair!

Another video of Aunt Fran, Mom, and me on the inflatable.

It was super, super hot while we were there - like 119 degrees during the days.  But being out on and in the water made it bearable.

Another fun thing we did was play on the paddleboard.  We got to be pretty good at it too.

The lake water temperature was perfect - in fact, we sometimes spent the day trying to find cool spots just to cool down.

Unky took us to a little cove called Gasoline Alley.  The water was deep and the canyon narrow.  It was a perfect spot to anchor the boat and play and play and play.

Sam turned in to "Cannonball Man".

In fact - enjoy this video of him - - - -

I loved jumping in as well.

And here is my attempt at some twisting jumps.

We even had some cannonball contests off the back of the boat.

There was more riding . . . .

Lots of snorkeling . . . .  That's Sam and Dad out there looking for fish.

Some great food . . . .

And more jumping . . . .

And by the end of the six days of fun - Sam and I had turned into true fish.

We are begging to go back next year - - SO. MUCH. FUN!

Oh - and of course, in our down time, there was some cartoon watching - - with Unky's dogs.

Here we all are - a truly EPIC trip!  Thanks Unky and Aunt Fran!

On our drive back to Las Vegas, we stopped to see the Hoover Dam.  It was gigantic!

At the airport - watching for our luggage to be loaded on the plane.

Ok - back to normal life.
We're back to school shopping and enjoying the last free days of summer.
